The SeIUCCR project

Champion.jpgThe SeIUCCR project is a network of Community Champions who advocate the use of e-Infrastructures in their research.

Community Champions are trusted voices - respected scientists who use e-infrastructure. Leading by example, the Community Champions promote uptake of e-Infrastructures in their communities and remove the barriers that have been prevent its usage.

SeIUCCR stands for Supporting e-Infrastructure Uptake through Community Champions for Research. The project directly funds seven Community Champions, across the fields of the physical and engineering sciences, who act as a conduit between research communities and e-infrastructure providers. It also funds workshops and an annual summer school, as well as providing travel bursaries for the Champions to attend conferences and publicisethe use of e-infrastructure.

SeIUCCR is a collaboration between the Software Sustainability Institute (SSI) and the NGS and is funded by EPSRC until April 2013.
