The Carpentries has seen a growing interest in individuals, research groups, and institutions wanting to develop lessons for their own domain of research. We are very excited by the potential brought by this growth. Diversifying our lesson offerings means we can extend our reach to new communities, and further disseminate our practices of teaching and collaborative lesson development.
The UCL Research Software Development Group are looking for a Research Software Engineer to join their team of 11 RSEs. Applications must be submitted by 14th October 2018. This position is permanent but subject to the availability of continued funding sourced from appropriate research collaborations, and is funded for two years in the first instance, with salary negotiable up to £46,359. On this occasion, candidates interested in a part-time position are also welcomed to apply.
Collaborations Workshop 2019 (CW19) will take place from Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd April 2019 at Loughborough University in the West Park Teaching Hub. The Software Sustainability Institute’s Collaborations Workshop series brings together researchers, developers, innovators, managers, funders, publishers, leaders and educators to explore best practices and the future of research software.
