Collaborations Workshop 2019 (CW19) took place from Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd April 2019 in the West Park Teaching Hub at Loughborough University, Loughborough. We’re still catching up after three full days dedicated to interoperability, documentation, training and sustainability.

With four fascinating keynotes around the theme of training and an exciting schedule of lightning talks, workshop sessions and a social programme, the Software Sustainability Institute is delighted to announce the provisional programme for CarpentryConnect Manchester 2019 (ccmcr19). Register before 18th April to get an early-bird rate.
The Society of Research Software Engineering is running a free workshop for aspiring RSE leaders. It will provide you with the contacts and expertise to run your own RSE Group or become a leader in the RSE community. At the workshop you will network with established RSE leaders, learn about some of the challenges facing RSEs and RSE Groups, and take part in discussions about the solutions to these challenges.

The British Library, Software Sustainability Institute and Alan Turing Institute are co-organising a workshop on Software Citation on the 13th and 14th May 2019 at the British Library, to raise the profile of the topic, provide information and address current challenges.

Events

The Workshop on Sustainable Software Sustainability 2019 (WOSSS19) will be held from 24-26 April 2019. Co-organised by DANS, the Software Sustainability Institute and the Netherlands eScience Centre, WOSSS19 will bring together key organisational and domain decision makers and knowledgeable people in the area of software sustainability.

In affiliation with The Carpentries, The Software Sustainability Institute is organising the first European CarpentryConnect event in Manchester from 25th to 27th June 2019.
Collaborations Workshop 2019 (CW19) will take place from Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd April 2019 at Loughborough University in the West Park Teaching Hub. The Software Sustainability Institute’s Collaborations Workshop series brings together researchers, developers, innovators, managers, funders, publishers, leaders and educators to explore best practices and the future of research software.
