I have a mixed background in bioinformatics and biostatistics, and am currently a research software engineer in Institute of Genetics and Cancer in the University of Edinburgh. My work focuses on the QuPath project: open source software for analysis of large biological images. I am a strong advocate for good computational practices and for researchers being able to generate and publish rich and useful research outputs that convey the complexity of their data. I also maintain several R and Bioconductor packages and some R-based teaching materials.
