Measuring and evaluating our impact

Our approach

We combine quantitative and qualitative evidence, such as participation and adoption data, surveys, programme evaluations, case studies, community feedback and external review. We evaluate our programmes to understand what works, what changes and how we can improve.

This helps us understand what changes for people, organisations and communities, informs our future priorities, and report progress to our funders and Advisory Board.

Evaluations and reviews

Our evaluations are formal, in-depth assessments of the Institute’s overall contribution and the impact of individual programmes. Unlike the shorter impact stories on Our impact page, they draw together multiple sources of evidence, reflection and case studies to examine what has changed, what has worked and where further development is needed.
