Open Life Science are running Ally Skills training on Friday 11 June from 14:00 – 17:00 BST. In this interactive workshop, you will learn about your own privileges and how to use them to step up for others.
An ally is a member of a social group that enjoys some societal advantages. They work to understand their own privilege takes conscious actions to step up for others, when it is safe for them to do so.
The Open Life Science team members have been trained under Frameshift Consulting and have previously conducted ally workshops at European Molecular Biology Laboratory, The Whitaker Lab at the Alan Turing Institute, CarpentryCon @ Home and as part of the Open Life Science OLS-1, OLS-2 and OLS-3 cohort training.
