We are delighted to announce our Fellows for 2013

The Software Sustainability Institute Fellows are researchers from a wide range of fields who will help the institute in a variety of ways. This includes updates on the latest software related developments in their field, running training workshops and taking part in policy forums. The Fellows focus of activity is dependent upon their career stage and specific interests.

The Fellows help guide the Institute’s sustainability efforts on important software tools, contribute to computational capability training and help influence policy with respect to software-enhanced research.

The Fellowship programme was very popular, with over 120 applications for the 15 places we had on offer. Over two rounds of judging we selected fifteen outstanding applicants who represent fields as diverse as 3D medical imaging, volcanology, palaeontology, historical text analysis, social media and more. This is an incredible resource for the Institute, and a fantastic opportunity for the Fellows to attend the conferences that are important to them, run workshops, take part in policy forums as part of their personal development and contribute to their domain and wider research.

If you would like to know more about our Fellows, take a look at the Fellow profiles.
