Behaviour change concerning energy highlighted for government
Behaviour change concerning energy use is an emerging area of research that has important implications for government policy. The issues surrounding this issue have now been highlighted for government by Kristy Revell, a PhD student at UCL and one of our Agents.
Kristy was recently awarded an EPSRC fellowship, which meant that she was seconded to the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST). The remit of POST is to disseminate the latest news in science and technology by examining the evidence and presenting it in an accessible format. This was described by Kristy in her recent blog post.
Kristy's POSTnote introduces the factors and interventions that can influence behaviour. It also discusses the behavioural aspects of the Green Deal and the smart meters programme.
