Cloud-SPAN will host two free workshops for those who want to learn more about using High Performance Computing for genomics. These workshops will provide an introduction to using the command line, logging onto the cloud and developing skills to analyse and manage large data sets.

Teaches command-line programming to beginners, it provides step-by-step guidance on understanding and navigating your file system, copying and moving files and logging into a remote high performance computer.
Trains you in organising bioinformatics projects, assessing read quality and performing quality control by trimming and filtering and carrying out variant calling. To participate in the Genomics workshop we recommend that you attend the Prenomics course or that you are able to successfully complete this self-assessment quiz.
