Five-day GPU Hackathon at Sheffield University

Sponsored by NVIDIA, Sheffield University will be hosting a five-day GPU Hackathon from 19th – 23rd August 2019 as part of the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility’s (OLCF’s) annual GPU Hackathon series.

These hackathons are 5-day coding events in which teams of developers prepare their own applications(s) to run on GPUs or focus on optimising their application(s) that currently run on GPUs. Teams should consist of three or more developers who are familiar with (some part of) their application. They will work alongside two mentors with GPU programming expertise.

If you want/need to get your code running (or optimised) on a GPU-accelerated system, these Hackathons offer a unique opportunity to set aside five days, surround yourself with experts in the field, and push toward your goals. During the event, developers will have access to computing systems from Sheffield University and the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility.

If you are interested in more information or would like to submit a short proposal, please visit the OLCF GPU Hackathons event page. The deadline for submissions is 21st at 11:59 PM ET.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mozhgan Kabiri Chimeh.
