The final final funding round for SPIRES (Supporting People who Investigate Research Environments and Spaces) has opened. The funding enables researchers to visit innovative research spaces in academic, industry or public sector settings in the UK and internationally. It includes funding for PhD students to visit conferences to present work on topics relating to SPIRES interests.

Full details can be on the SPIRES website. The deadline for applications is 31 December 2012.
