HPC Application Software Analyst - Francis Crick Institute

This is a full-time, permanent position on Crick Terms and Conditions of Employment. Salary between £41,000 - £55,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience. 

The HPC Application Software Analyst will be responsible for migration, development, deployment, and debug of bio-applications on the research HPC infrastructure at the Crick. This role will support to scientists at Institute in adapting and optimising their systems to make best use of the compute and data platforms.

The post holder would be expected to provide support for the High Throughput Imaging Platform team in gaining benefits from the Crick scientific computing resources, for instance supporting migration of imaging process pipelines to a hybrid HPC systems. The Crick also has significant effort in the area of bio-molecular simulations and bio-imaging technologies the role would be expected to provide support for these groups in optimising their codes and pipelines for highly parallel systems (including MPI and embarrassingly parallel approaches).
