Nominations are open for the MRC Millennium Medal 2021 which will be presented to an exceptional researcher who has made a major contribution towards the Medical Research Council’s mission to improve health, quality of life and wealth creation. 

Nominations are invited from universities and independent research organisations to recognise MRC-funded researchers who have demonstrated scientific excellence and impact and a dedication to improving the wider research environment and research base. Nominations will be scored by a newly established MRC Prize Committee and will recommend a winner to MRC Council to be announced in December 2021. The winner will present a lecture and receive a Medal that is specially created by The Royal Mint at a dedicated awards ceremony in Spring 2022.
