A one-day meeting will be help at the University of Leeds on 30 January, from 10.30am – 4pm, to look at similarities, challenges and opportunities for research software engineering groups across the N8 Research Partnership.
The meeting will be attended by RSE group leaders from each of the N8 institutions. Individual RSEs are also welcome to attend, especially those who may be interested in managing an RSE group in the future. Places are strictly limited and priority will be given to those who register early.
Simon Hettrick, Deputy Director of the Software Sustainability Institute will speak at the meeting, talking about his work with the Society of Research Software Engineering and the ongoing importance of raising the profile of research software engineers within the academic community.
Places are strictly limited and priority will be given to those who register early. If the event is over-subscribed it may be necessary to limit the number of RSEs from a single institution.
