The Network for sustainable Digital Research Infrastructure Vision and Expertise (NetDRIVE) has unveiled a series of workshops aimed at defining their work plan and help drive the transformational change needed to achieve sustainable research computing by 2040.
The NetDRIVE team has been invited by UK Research & Innovation to build a proposal for a network of experts, a team of four champions, and a fund for community projects.
NetDRIVE aims to connect diverse disciplines and stakeholders across the UK, contributing to the development of innovative Net Zero Digital Research Infrastructure approaches. This initiative is founded on inclusivity, welcoming voices from all research disciplines, career stages, and perspectives.
Whether you’re passionate about the potential of science and technology or the creative power of the human spirit, your input is valuable and crucial at this proposal stage.
Attending a NetDRIVE workshop is your chance to influence the future direction of the initiative, and ensure it effectively serves the community and UK Research & Innovation.
NetDRIVE is offering workshops in Edinburgh from Wednesday 9 to Thursday 10 October 2024, and in Daresbury from Monday 21 to Tuesday 22 October 2024. Each workshop will be spread over two half-days, fostering debate and constructive feedback to ensure the proposal benefits from diverse perspectives.
Those unable to attend the workshops can still contribute by completing a short survey and joining the contact list. The NetDRIVE team looks forward to the participation and insights of the community in shaping the future direction of the initiative, ensuring its effective service to the community and UK Research & Innovation.
