There are still a few places available for the Software Bootcamp for Audio and Music Researchers in York run by SoundSoftware and Software Carpentry.

If you are a postgraduate student or researcher in the field of audio or music research who is familiar with basic programming concepts (like loops, conditionals, arrays, and functions), but need help to translate this knowledge into practical tools to help them work more productively, this three-day boot camp alternating short tutorials with hands-on practical exercises is perfect to hone your skills.

Registration is free. The registration deadline is the 6th of August. Registration confirmations will be sent out by the 7th of August.

To register, and for further information about the workshop, please visit: http://soundsoftware.ac.uk/york2012-bootcamp
