SSI Fellow Sarah Gibson recognised as a Jupyter Distinguished Contributor

Posted by j.laird on 22 March 2022 - 2:00pm

Sarah GibsonCongratulations to SSI Fellow Sarah Gibson on her recognition as a Jupyter Distinguished Contributor!

The Jupyter Distinguished Contributor award is given to those who have made substantial contributions to Jupyter itself in both quality and quantity over at least two years. Contributions may include code, code review, infrastructure work, mailing list and chat participation, community help/building, education and outreach, fundraising, branding, marketing, inclusion and diversity, UX design and research, etc.

Sarah said:

I extend my thanks and appreciation to everyone who nominated and voted for me in the Jupyter Distinguished Contributor community. But also to everyone in the other communities who supported me on the journey to this point, including The Turing Way, the mybinder.org and JupyterHub teams, my colleagues at 2i2c, and the SSI community. They each played a role in shaping me into a Distinguished Contributor.

See the other contributors on the Jupyter blog.
