Survey of community practices and requirements relating to the testing of scientific codes

Posted by n.chuehong on 21 August 2012 - 11:17am

Researchers at St. Andrews University (Alex Voss) and the University of Edinburgh (Mark Hartswood) are conducting a survey aiming to take a snapshot of community practices and requirements specifically relating to the testing of scientific codes.

Responses will inform a research proposal into how software engineering tools and software testing know-how can be made more accessible to more scientists across a broader range of disciplines.

They would be very grateful to hear from scientists and scholars from any discipline, including the humanities, socials sciences, physical, mathematical and computation sciences.

To access the survey, please click on the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/836JDXW

The survey has 20 main questions, and four optional questions. It should take less than 20 minutes to complete.

Please contact Mark if you have any queries (mjh@inf.ed.ac.uk).
