UKRI-BBSRC are running a workshop on scientific computing for the biosciences to better understand the computing needs of the bioscience community. The workshop will be online on 29 April 2021 from 09:30 to 16:30.

The workshop is to ensure that these needs are clearly articulated in discussions on digital infrastructure provision, both within independent research organisations and regionally/nationally going forwards. The workshop will inform guidance, strategy and promote the exchange of knowledge across the sector. The format is expected to consist of a mixture of facilitated discussions to understand the opportunities and identify current needs, and then explore them in greater detail.

Applications to participate in the workshop are welcome from across the bioscience research and innovation community including bioscientists, technical and facility staff, research software engineers and computational scientists both working in bioscience and collaborating with bioscientists.
