Giacomo supports the Institute by maintaining and enhancing the work of the four Institute themes. He helps coordinate activities, disseminates outcomes from the teams and investigates new opportunities for the further development of the Institute. He works closely with Neil Chue Hong, the Institute’s Director. Giacomo joined the Software Sustainability Institute in 2013 and is based in Edinburgh.
Formerly, Giacomo worked in local government in Sardinia. He was responsible for communications and the co-ordination of local development projects. During this time, Giacomo gained significant experience in the management of EU-funded projects and he is still involved in an FP7 project dealing with smart energy grids.
Giacomo studied Classics to postgraduate level and then completed a Masters' degree in European Politics and Communication.
