Are you involved in a project that falls within the social sciences remit? Are you an early-career or junior researcher (PhD student)? Reach out and have your voice heard

We’re currently looking for early-career and junior researchers to participate in interviews carried out as part of our study on digital methods and software in the social sciences. This is a great opportunity for researchers interested in shaping policy.

We are keen to hear from you even if you feel you don’t use much data or software in your research. It’s crucial to the ESRC that their policies are shaped by the widest community possible, e.g. across disciplines, career stages and institutions.

The interviews will be held online and last 45 minutes. We offer a £50 voucher to all eligible participants. Please note we’re likely to limit the number of interviews we conduct.

If you’re interested in participating, please send an email to s.aragon@software.ac.uk.

Last year, the Software Sustainability Institute was awarded ESRC funding to conduct a study on the use of digital methods and software in the social sciences. As part of the overall study, we’re hosting these informal interviews as a follow-up to our survey. The interviews aim to further tease out data collected from the survey. Should you choose to participate, your answers will be collated into a report that will help inform future ESRC’s digital infrastructure policies.
