The Edinburgh RSE Community welcomes anyone in the Edinburgh area, active or interested in the area of research software to the second edition of the Edinburgh RSE Community meeting. The meeting will take place next Wednesday 21st November 2018 at the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA), University of Edinburgh. Edinburgh held its first Inaugural Research Software Engineering (RSE) meeting at the Bayes Centre on 26th September. Attended by 50 people, this first meeting was the beginning of an effort to build a self-sustaining community in Edinburgh, as well as gain recognition for those who produce software as a research output and establish a recognised career path within academic institutions.
