OpenRefine workshop

Lucia Michielin will introduce attendees to working with data in OpenRefine. Topics covered include importing data, the layout of OpenRefine, faceting and filtering, clustering, working with columns and sorting, and using script.

Filament - a collaborative Python workspace for data analysis

Euan Wielewski, Clive Siviour and Annie Sinclair will introduce Filament before allowing participants to explore its capabilities. The workshop is designed to be accessible to people with any level of Python experience, from beginners to advanced programmers.

From spreadsheets to R

RStudio certified instructors, Yanina Bellini Saibene and Paola Corrales have put together this R introductory course for new or beginner coders. “From spreadsheets to R” is intended for people who use spreadsheets for data manipulation and analysis but would like to learn how to work with R and have never programmed.
