About the Fund 

The RSMF, delivered by the Software Sustainability Institute with support from UKRI, is designed to improve the long-term sustainability and maintenance of research software that is critical to UK research. In this first funding round, we received an exceptional 360 Expressions of Interest (EoIs), reflecting the depth of expertise and ambition across the research software community. Following a rigorous review process, 150 applications (69 large and 81 small award categories) have been invited to submit a full proposal.
