After careful consideration, the Software Sustainability Institute has reached a decision to suspend recruitment activities for its Fellowship Programme 2024. This decision will allow the SSI team to address delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and focus on supporting the 2020-2023 cohorts, which are currently active.

Additionally, we aim to evaluate and reframe our existing strategy and resources to offer even more enriching opportunities to our current and prospective Fellows, including international and OLS Fellows. Rest assured, the Fellowship Programme will return in 2025, and recruitment is likely to resume around September 2024.

If you were planning to apply for the Fellowship Programme 2024, please contact us at info@software.ac.uk. We would be happy to have a chat to discuss eligibility and what we are looking for in prospective Fellows.

Sign up to our mailing list to receive updates.

The SSI team thanks you for your patience, understanding and ongoing support.

About the Fellowship Programme

The SSI Fellowship Programme provides funding for individuals who want to improve how research software is used in their domains, fields, and/or areas of work. The main goals of the Programme are to improve and promote good computational practice across all research disciplines and support those who are doing this important work. The SSI encourages our Fellows to use these practices themselves and empowers them to be ambassadors of good practice.
