About the Mentorship
The main goals of the Fellowship Programme are to improve and promote good computational practice across all research disciplines and support those who are doing this important work.
The Institute for Research Software Fellows Mentorship is an essential part of this support. It is designed to strengthen Fellows' professional skills and increase their impact to become recognised as world-class research and innovation leaders in the research software community.
Please note that the mentors listed should not be viewed as a selection of options for new or potential applicants, as mentor assignments are thoughtfully made by the Fellowship team based on the specific needs and objectives of each individual.

How the Mentorship Programme works
The Fellowship team, with support from Institute staff and external stakeholders, carefully matches Fellows with mentors based on their Fellowship plans, expertise, and mutual interests.
Throughout the Fellowship period, Fellows and mentors meet for a total of 14 hours, through virtual sessions or in-person meetings at events such as the Collaborations Workshop. Progress is reviewed midway by the Fellowship team, with a final review conducted at the end of the Fellowship period.
